Drought Contingency Stage - Moderate Drought D1

Weber County, UT – Drought Update (as of July 3, 2025)

  • Current Drought Status: Conditions have worsened from Abnormally Dry (D0) to Moderate Drought (D1), per the U.S. Drought Monitor.

  • Duration of Drought: Weber County has been in drought status for 1 week, beginning June 24, 2025.

  • Forecast: The Climate Prediction Center’s July Outlook, released June 30, 2025, anticipated drought development across the region—now confirmed by worsening conditions.


What D1 (Moderate Drought) Means:

  • Some damage to crops and pastures may occur.

  • Water levels in streams, reservoirs, or wells may be low.

  • Voluntary water conservation measures might begin.
